About Me!

Hello! My name is Samantha Rich, and I’m an actor/singer/strong mover based in the San Francisco Bay Area (born and raised!) I primarily perform in musicals, but I also have experience in contemporary plays, cabaret, and choir/acapella. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University in New York, where I received my B.F.A. in Theatre Performance and minored in Musical Theatre. Today I am thrilled to be back in the Bay and dream of being fully bi-coastal in the future. Some of my favorite theatre credits are Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Emma in The Prom. When I’m not performing, I teach private music lessons and group musical theatre classes to K-12 students across SF.

Whether it be powerful leaders or quirky ingenues, I love telling the stories of all different kinds of characters. I strive to leave the audience wanting more regardless of the role. Most importantly, I bring an open mind and enthusiastic attitude to the rehearsal room to help foster an environment that is both collaborative and positive.
